Period changes and the 52-week range are provider values, not dividend-reinvested total returns or official index returns. Long-horizon colors use 10 percentage-point steps, saturating at the extremes. P/E uses trailing 12-month earnings. Growth is 3-year CAGR, not year-on-year growth. Dividend and financial periods can differ from the closing date. Missing, inapplicable and nonpositive P/E or P/B values are withheld. The provider update is not a fiscal period end.

Do more advancing stocks mean a rising index?
Advancing share among stocks with a daily change: 5 / 7 (71.4%). Missing daily changes / all constituents: 0 / 7. Unchanged stocks stay in the denominator; missing changes do not. Each stock has one vote, unlike an index that gives larger companies more weight. This summary always uses daily changes for the full membership, independently of the sector filter and map horizon.
A hypothetical three-stock example: starting weights of 80%, 10% and 10%, with returns of +10%, −2% and −2%, produce a weighted return of +7.6% (0.8 × 10 − 0.1 × 2 − 0.1 × 2), although only one stock in three advances. This is not an observed index result. Map areas must not be used to calculate an official index return.
Try it: compare the colors of the largest tiles with the rest of the map, then select a sector to see where the moves are concentrated. The advancing share does not predict the next session.
| Company | Closing price (USD) | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Nvidia NVDA | 217.91 | +0.89% |
| Apple Inc. AAPL | 347.07 | +0.92% |
| Microsoft MSFT | 531.39 | -0.23% |
| Alphabet Inc. (Class A) GOOGL | 320.61 | +1.20% |
| Amazon AMZN | 253.15 | +1.63% |
Rows are sorted by market cap, not investment merit. Advancing and declining counts summarize individual stocks, not the index return.
