The model assumes the annual dividend per share changes at a constant rate and the share count stays fixed. Companies and funds may raise, reduce or suspend distributions.
Estimate annual, monthly and after-tax dividend income
Multiply shares owned by the annual dividend per share to estimate gross income, then apply a withholding or tax assumption. The calculator also shows the dividend yield implied by the current share price and a five-year income path if the dividend changes at a constant annual rate without reinvestment.
How to use this calculator
Use the current share count and the declared annualized dividend per share, not the last payment alone.
Enter current market price to calculate yield and the withholding or tax rate that applies to the account.
Test zero, positive and negative dividend-growth cases instead of treating the five-year path as a forecast.
How to read the result
Gross income is shares multiplied by annual dividend per share. After-tax income applies the selected rate, while monthly and quarterly values are budgeting averages and do not change the issuer's actual payment schedule.
What this estimate does not capture
Dividend declarations, payment timing, foreign exchange, return-of-capital distributions and tax character are not guaranteed. The projection keeps share count fixed and does not model DRIP purchases.
Methodology, assumptions & limits
Inputs are applied directly to standard finance formulas with monthly compounding where relevant. Results are estimates in the selected currency; they do not include every tax, fee, benefit, market event or local rule. Try a conservative and an optimistic case before making a decision.
